SIZE 108,586 SF (GFA)
HEIGHT 19-Storey
UNIT NUMBER 126 Residential Units
The project proposes a 19-storey infill residential tower with 126 homes on a newly subdivided lot in Ambleside. Designed as a slender, context-sensitive addition, it com-plements
the existing 1970s 20-storey building to the east. The two towers are linked through a shared landscaped open space, enhancing livability and fostering community connections.
The slim tower footprint maximizes green space, improves natural light and sightlines, and strengthens connections to surrounding open areas. The façade establishes a dialogue with the adjacent West Coast Modernist tower: hand-carved concrete fluting is reinterpreted as vertical metal cladding, preserving proportional rhythm while ex-pressing a contemporary material language.
Overall, the design balances residential amenity, contextu-al sensitivity, and community benefit, creating a cohesive and sustainable infill addition.
Ambleside Infill Tower reflects a context-sensitive, community-oriented vision for infill development, reinforcing the neighbourhood’s identity while advancing West Vancouver’s longterm growth and livability objectives.
